“ This is the second Chinese restaurant that features cuisine from Hunan province, also famous for spicy dishes but different from the usual Sichuan places. They seem to have a very reasonably priced lunch menu for ~15€ per person including drinks. Among the Chinese menu, there are quite a lot of unique dishes that are uncommon in restaurants here. The double cooked pork with chili dish (農家小炒肉), for instance, had garlic sprouts instead of scallions, very authentic. The fish with Sauerkraut in a spicy soup (酸湯魚) was less impressive but there's so much one can achieve under the limit of frozen fishes. ”
“ Xiang Ju is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Munich! Stir-Fried Spicy Sliced Beef小炒黃牛肉 Their specialty, stir-fried spicy sliced beef, is amazingly delicious. It's tender, spicy, and absolutely addicting, especially with rice. Every time I travel to Munich, I make it a point to come to Xiang Ju for their incredible food. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic and flavorful Chinese cuisine in Munich! ”
“ The food is pretty good but there is too noisy and some food is on the ground. In general, it is still a good restaurant worth to go. ”
“ This place is always busy with a mix of democratics. They have authentic Hunan-&Sichuan-Style dishes, but it’s at the end of the menu after the drinks section. In the beginning of the menu you will find normal euro-chinese dishes (Duck Thai Curry, and the like). This is good as they increase their chance in surviving by appealing to the majority of people, while being able to offer traditional dishes too. I hope it’s stays that way. Food: The dry chicken are exactly how they should be, no breading but still super crunchy. The sour fish is mild and satisfying. The cold beef was too tough, tougher than it should be, but it’s all well once you know which dishes bring a smile to your face. Service: They could look around a bit more often, but waving waiters/waitresses over is perfectly accepted, so no issue at all. Atmosphere: Very nice, also good for work gathering. Highly recommended. ”
“ I been visiting this area many time and notice that there are quite a lot local & Asian customers visiting this outlet. I did not try the restaurant for reason that, it need to have a few persons to dine together so that we could order more dishes to better judge the quality (as each serving is relatively large). Today, I have 2 Asian visitors and decided to give XiangJu try… verdict: good ! The fried French bean & black pepper beef were closely matched those I had in Asia before. Great kitchen, good for it if you crave for spicy Chinese cuisine. No regret. ”
“ My friend found this place on his last visit so suggested it for dinner tonight. The staff was really friendly and accommodated us with non menu items. Centre piece was the special rabbit dish. The others are remarkable too, considered we’re having this in Germany! Mala is on point and pairing with Germany Weissbier is the best combo!! ”
“ We walked by and saw it was busy inside so we knew it must be good. We got a table quickly though and they provided English menus for us. We ordered the fried spring roll appetizer (yum!!), the eggplant and a chicken dish. My favorite was the eggplant, so good. The chicken dish was supposed to be spicy but it was a little bland for my taste, but the quality of the meat was good and the veggies were wonderful. The servers were very busy but attentive. ”
